Healer’s tier list is out! After the new patch, let’s look at the status of HEALERS in mythic plus dungeons. All of the healer specs have cleared easily, 15 plus and 20 plus. We’ll look at the highest keys these specs did and affixes. Most of this research is done in the prism of 9.0 because that is all the data available. With the new patch released a couple of days ago, a couple of weeks is needed to establish the 9.0.5 meta. Analysis is done with the data based on the week prior. Thus there is not much 9.0.5 stuff running in.

DISCIPLINE PRIEST
The Disc Priest got a nerf to spiritual which was one of the coolest new additions. Maybe not the most used in dungeons thus there’s no guarantee that the nerf will affect Discipline too much in dungeons. Spiritual was the main thing to go for in raids although there were pretty good chunks of Disc Priest running Spiritual in dungeons too. It is however a viable option, it did get nerfed but it does not mean this spirit is not viable. It is still very good. You have to remember that the damage component of the Disc Priest is one of the key factors but there’s a strong competitor in that department. Right now the spin cleared 20 or 25, the highest key cleared by Discipline Priest. The biggest skill cap for this priest is to know how to prep and start your ramp up to be able to prevent a lot of the damage. And if you do that properly, this priest is probably the best healer to prevent damage right after. If played right, you can almost always prevent incoming damage. Based on these, the conclusion would be that this priest would go to solid S tier. Performing a nudge above almost all of the others.

HOLY PALADIN
This was probably the strongest healer at the moment. Holy Paladin is a healer similar to Discipline in the way that it helps the party- you have a lot of damage prevention and Devotional which is the Lenience counterpart. The only main difference is Holy Paladin does not necessarily require a ramp up. The strongest point of Holy is dealing damage and massive burst seals coming all the time. Holy Paladin has the most damage, in terms of mid level play Holy Paladin can feel really strong and can solve issues much faster. Obviously it is a little more tanky because you are playing where you have a shield. Holy Paladin cleared the biggest key so far +26 which clearly puts him in S tier as well. Probably the best performing healer at 25 and higher.

HOLY PRIEST
Holy Priest is actually up in the list with Disc Priest in terms of damage. What’s interesting is, damage aside, it is kind of just the same but you cannot really compare the two when it comes to healing throughput and Holy Priest can really double down on that. And it raised so much value right now, it’s the same. The cooldowns are rolling around just doing more healing. Which means Holy Priest can be good with a comp that has a lot of defenses as well. Passive defense stuff that you can survive, that you’re not punished for not having damage reduction cooldowns from a proper healer. Biggest key the Holy Priest did was a +25 which we didn’t really see that a couple of weeks ago or a month ago. That bumps it up to the A tier. It’s performance is really close to Discipline Priest. It is hard to say if they are equal because from a design perspective, damage prevention is always better than just being able to solve the damage. Good job to Holy Priest for kicking it up a notch.

MISTWEAVER MONK
It is no surprise that Mistweaver is not performing as well as the other healers in this expansion. The highest key the Mistweaver has cleared is a +23. This healer does not have the big burst juices however it has a big throughput plus a lot of mobility. It does lack the damage although it can do damage, it cannot do as much as Holy Paladin or Disc Priest. You are probably going to have a Mistweaver Monk in a group where you do not have a windwalker. Right now, Mistweaver is the least popular killer. Mystic Touch is always a great ring of peace. Also, you cannot forget Revival for it used to be one of the biggest things and it could still be. This is the least played healer so it is really hard to gauge because it is a notch behind everyone else. Mistweaver places at tier B, it could be better as 9.0.5 as we are reaching 9.1.

RESTO DRUID
It is really popular and definitely the most played. However that does not necessarily translate to super big performances. They have not cleared the biggest keys but that being said we can talk a lot about Resto Druid’s utility. In terms of what it can do, Resto Druid has one of the most relaxed ways into switching and dealing damage because basically if you know what you are doing you are free to do whatever. Even after the mastery nerf, Resto Druid is just made around dungeons and around healing. Resto Druid kit is always going to be really good for mythic plus if you are interested in playing it. It is so fun, versatile and very rewarding. This one is also unique because of all the ways you smoothly circle through cooldowns plus convoke is still a very satisfying spell. You have to remember, Druids have the suit, cyclones, roots, vortexes, a lot of utility especially for tanks. Resto Druid gets a spot on the B tier. This is only because the biggest key is +23.

RESTO SHAMAN
The last but not the least healer is Resto Shaman, one of the most popular healers that has been until now. Clearly Resto Shaman was the choice for a lot of people. It is really good right now because of the curses and all of the utility is good. Resto Shaman has a lot of throughput as well. In terms of big numbers, they can do pretty well and also of course Bloodlust. It might be a notch behind Paladin and Disc Priest but it is A tier for sure. It was close to making it to S tier but it did not because it is missing one or two things that can put them right on top with Holies and Disciplines.
