How To Clear Torghast – Week 1 Guide

So before we begin with this guide, I’d like to clarify that Torghast has been officially time gated by the developers to make the player progression process a bit lengthier than before. What this does is essentially give you more time to grind through the first 3 layers that are available currently, and then the next three layers which will be available in the next week, and the last two layers that will release after that.

So clearing Torghast fully in a week will remain a dream for a while longer.

With that said, here’s a couple of tips to get you prepared and ready for your adventures into Torghast’s 8 layers of a full out hardcore action grindfest as it comes to you in bits and pieces!

RELAX

The first proper tip I would give you is to relax. No matter how much the developers advertise Torghast as literal hell for your fingers, it’s still a part of the game and worrying too much about it will only cause more problems in the long run. Slow down and take each step of your climb into Torghast as it comes, do not skip anything and keep on keeping on!

BE A TANK

So the way Torghast works is that the layers scale based on the class and spec that you’re playin. If you’re full DPS, that means the mobs of enemies will be at 100% HP. If you’re a tank, then the mobs will scale a bit lower at 75% HP and if you’re a healer then that brings them down to 50% HP.

Solo healers may have a tough time because of a lack of interrupts, so rolling through Torghast as a healer will be tricky.

BRING A HEALER WITH YOU

If you don’t have a tank spec, You may want to bring (convince, negotiate, beg) a healer to come with you. The smaller the group, the better; so any class you play you should have at least one healer to aid you, because it is much easier to do high damage and have the interruptions while also having heals on your side!

COMPLETING ALL WEEK 1 PREPS IS KEY

Make sure to complete the entirety of your covenant calling quests and world quests because those give you better gear and gear gives you that extra edge when it comes to fighting off enemies (obviously). Come into Torghast with all the gear and player power that you can find!

SINGLE TARGET DPS AND HP

In terms of Anima powers, you in general have to focus on powers that lead to high single target damage above all other stats. I recommend the Corruption Antenna anima power which is available on every spec and I’m not kidding when I say that this – it is the strongest power in all of Torghast at the moment.

Corruption Antena is a super strong single target attack and this power can stack. Better yet, it can have maximum affect on bosses and also elite enemies which eventually become immune to crowd control!

You also want to grab HP boosting powers because those are important when fighting off a bunch of crowds, having HP boosts is essential in surviving small encounters and then going up to fight bigger battles afterwards.

PHANTASMA

Pick up all the Phantasmas. This is highly important, as you want to have a lot of this so when you reach the brokers on floors 3 and 6 you can buy anything that you want from them, including a potion which increases your damage by 30 percent during combat. This potion is a nightmare for the bosses, as basically turn into the actual doom slayer.

QUICK OVERVIEW OF WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR ON EACH FLOOR

Skoldus Halls have you fighting the Shackler who will snare you. The ranged interceptor is just super annoying and the guard with hard hitting melee.

In the Fracture Chambers and Upper Reaches you will be kiting skeletons and interrupting casters. They will usually be patrolling, so be careful where you step.

Soulforges will have a lot of fire damage that you will take, so make sure to have Ravenous Cells to counter most of the fire damage.

In Mort’regar, just try to isolate the mobs, don’t pull too many at once and you’re good. Make sure to have Ravenous Cells here too because it’s useful to counter puddle damage.

Coldheart Interstatia has the coldheart agents, they hit you with a fear debuff that make you run into even more mobs. Ravenous Cells can counter even this.
