So you’ve just hit level 60 and just don’t know what to do next in order to stay competitive or PvP in Shadowlands? Look no further as this guide will help you by breaking down and simplifying from a daily or weekly basis in the Shadowland systems.
Here are the mandatory systems you need to complete in order for you to push your player power!
#1: Torghast
The new mechanics similar to visions from BFA. There are multiple lairs where you battle with through six floors, kill the end boss, and will be rewarded will soul ash. Ashes are used to create legendaries which are very important inside of PvP. They’re also used to upgrade said legendaries.
| You also want to max out your Soul Ash each week and that’s done by completing the highest level lair that you’ve unlocked. The amount of Soul Ash you attain is capped weekly and is staggered upon release. |  |
Unlike visions, there is no cap to how many tries you have at Torghast so take your time and get your max cap each week on Soul Ash.
#2: Renown
Just as important as Torghast, which is a progression system that basically builds trust with your chosen covenant. While it is also important in PvP, it also adds stamina, upgrades PvP gear, and soul binds. The entire soul bind tree is tied behind Renown leveling meaning as you increase your renown, you unlock more passives and conduit slots.
| Renown Level is also capped on a weekly basis as per this chart. For the first few weeks, you’re gonna need to do 2 weekly quests and a chapter covenant campaign which gives you a total of 3 renown levels per week. |  |
#3: The Great Vault
The last mandatory you may need to do is to complete a minimum of one objective from The Great Vault which has opened on the 8th of December. More so gear-related but is going to be a major factor in your weekly character progression. The great vault is the equivalent of the Mythic Plus and PvP in BFA.

You have the potential to pick from 9 items. You can also put as little or as much effort into this as you want. Either go by one item by just completing two RBGs or a few arena games and role the dice. Just note that the item level gear depends on your highest weekly rating or the difficulty of the PvE content that you completed.
