Recently Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Patch 9.0.5 will have a live release this March. In Shadowlands Patch 9.0.5, Blizzard finally listened to the players because now there will be a great vault map marker, and they also added different Valor points. Maybe your asking, what is Valor? How does it work? Here are some of the things that you should know about Valor.
What is Valor?
A Valor is a new currency from PvE that came from a Valor style deterministic PvE gearing system and was first introduced in The Burning Crusade and removed in Warlords of Draenor. You can spend Valor on new PvE gears to gear up your character without relying on the boss, loot-drop slot machines.
Why all the hype?
- There was an increasing disconnection between the time you put into the game and their increase in player power as a result.
- It provides an increase in the through PvE content which has been finding quite lacking in Shadowlands.
- It solves that awful feeling you get when you spend a long time getting a group together and completing a Mythic+ dungeon and opening the final chest, and seeing a bad amount of anima inside.
- It provides a deterministic power upgrade process for your character through PvE.
Valor upgrade caps
In this system, you should always remember that there will be limits on how much you can upgrade your gear. Unlocking new valor item level caps depends on your completed dungeon history, while completing every dungeon at a certain keystone level increases your current upgrade cap.
This table shows the upgrade caps and what you need to have completed to unlock them.
Unlocking the highest possible upgrade cap of 220 also unlocks the Sintouched Deathwalker mount for the Keystone Master achievement.
Valor upgrade costs
The valor cost of upgrades will increase in cost. Also, same as how the PVP upgrades work, different gear slots will have higher or lower costs associated with their upgrades.
