UPDATED Shadowlands DPS Rankings | BEST and WORST DPS specs in Raids and M+ (November Tierlist)

All the tuning and adjustments on how all the different specs are doing. These rankings are based on how the various specs are performing in Mythic Raids and high Mythic plus keys.

DPS tends to be the most explosive role when it comes to ranking so be careful of the tuning that is coming in the following lists here that can dramatically alter your specs.

How different specs perform in Mythic Castle Nathria Raids

C-TIER: consists of specs that are a bit below average compare to most of the specs due to their tuning and design and could possibly use more improvement by Blizzard
B-TIER: houses your “average” specs which in general are all solid specs that can excel in different situations
A-TIER: containing above-average specs that are strong in most scenarios in Castle Nathria
S-TIER: holds some of the strongest raid specs in the game who are top-tier for boss fights in the entire raid

– triple DPS class– being a triple DPS class also means they’re competing with themselves for the top spot

– struggles with longer ramp-up time that can be heavily disturbed by movement
Survival Hunters

– triple DPS class
– the only melee DPS spec
– lacking in survival due to the fact that they don’t have anything unique utility to bring

– they have similarly strong burst damage on 1-3 targets– lacking in their skills that are not burst damage

– uses chaos debuff to boost damage of magic users
– every raid group would only want one in order to use the chaos debuff

– performs better with their ability
– better burst to target cleave damage than Fury

– brings extremely important raid cooldown in anti-magic zone

– thrive in AOE scenarios which aren’t very common in Castle Nathria

– best rogue spec when it comes to raiding
– great single target damage and cleave with priority target damage

– array of rogue sustainability like immunity and cloak of shadows
Retribution Paladins

– best single target burst damage in the game and are able to do it frequently with their 1 minute only cooldowns

– insane set of utility like immunities, snare removal, and devotion aura

– strong execute damage which is great help in difficult final stages

– decent utility including stampeding roar and also innervate their healers

– better in small AOE cleave scenarios
– same utility as Unholy Knights
– picked between the Unholy Knights on which ever brings more damages will be brought to the raids

– unique and powerful sustained cleave and AOE damage
Beast Mastery Hunters

– though lacking in marksmanship, has great damage rotation while constantly moving

– ideal in heavy movement fights as well as fights where mechanics are necessary
– a little under tuned when it comes to marksmanship

– thrive in multi-target fights regardless if they’re spread or stacked

– excels in priority target damage as they funnel their resources to pump high damage into a single one via the devouring plague

Marksmanship Hunters

– though not as mobile, Marksmanship Hunters beat BM Hunters when it comes to AOE situations

– strongest burst capabilities while their single to two target cleave damage are still good
– are not as mobile as BM hunters

– struggles when targets are spread out

– fantastic priority target AOE damage similar to the shadow priests

– very high sustained single target DPS

– great utility with arcane intellect as well as immunity and ice block

– they are the best in most situations

How different specs perform in Mythic Plus (focusing on higher keys)

C-TIER: consists of specs that are a bit below average.
B-TIER: these specs are all solid choices for mythic plus by bringing different utility that gains and loses value depending on the dungeon and team comp.
A-TIER: above average specs who tend to be good regardless of the dungeon or party composition
S-TIER: all specs deal fantastic damage and bring great utility to every dungeon.

– they aren’t as great because they’re melee and also have to make a choice between AOE or single target damage which is something the higher specs don’t need to do

– more burst to your spec compared to Fury Warriors
– better in lower target situations which is lacking in Mythic Plus

– less durable spec which leaves them on the bottom of the spec tier for dungeons

– has a strong infernal cooldown which can significantly reduce cooldown thanks to a legendary making much more viable

– powerful single target damage
– though with powerful single target damage, it’s hard for them to get all their dots out to take advantage of the AOE burst of malefic rapture

– brings solid sustain damage that can be done while moving

– brings solid utility with AOE stuns

– has physical damage increase by using mystic touch making them a good pair with rogues and hunters

– struggles in sustaining damage especially in single-target damage department

– brings trents which are fantastic in dungeons as they can take huge damage for your tank

– multi-dots quite effectively with Sunfire and have uncapped AOE damage from starfall
– average when it comes to single-target damage.

– they have gained powerful dungeon talents with their rework and some new useful baseline spells
Unholy Death Knights
