BlizzConline 2021 – Wrap-Up – Blizzard Entertainment

Blizzard Entertainment celebrates its 30th year anniversary through BlizzConline 2021. Due to current  circumstances, the annual conference was done virtually. BlizzConline 2021 featured Blizzard’s latest news and game announcements to fans and enthusiasts for free. 

The first major content update for Shadowlands, Chains of Domination, is coming to World of Warcraft later this year. An all new charity pet program is in the works which will grant all modern WoW players Bananas the monkey and Daisy the sloth once donation goals are met. 

The Burning Crusade Classic is coming this year. All players with an existing World of Warcraft Subscription can jump into this genuine recreation of the game’s award-winning first expansion free of charge. 

Other highlights from the show:

Diablo II: Resurrected is coming later this year to Windows PC and consoles. 

The Rogue is coming to Diablo IV. The Rogue is a swift, deadly and mobile class without a variety of ways to attack and entrap the enemies. The Rogue’s combat can also be enhanced poisons, shadow magic, and special techniques. 

Another jam-packed year for Hearthstone with the release of Year of the Gryphon

The first Hearthstone expansion of 2021 is Forged in the Barrens, inspired by the iconic World of Warcraft locale. Get ready for life in the Barrens with new mechanics like Ranked Spells, the new Frenzy keyword and a host of powerful legendary mercenary minions. 

Coming later this year is Hearthstone Mercenaries, a single player competitive game mode in which players collect mighty characters from the Warcraft universe and level them up in tactical battles. It will feature strategic RPG gameplay and rogue like missions which provide a fresh set of challenges every time you play. 

Experience The Lost Vikings, Rock N Roll Racing and Blackthorne in the Blizzard Arcade Collection. An anthology of Blizzard’s original console hits. Available now for consoles and PC as part of Blizzard’s 30th anniversary-themed Celebration Collection. 

Players got a glimpse of how Overwatch 2 has evolved since its launch last BlizzCon 2019. It featured details on the game’s long-term progression system, a first look at some of the new locations in the sequel and a work in progress looks for some of Overwatch’s most popular heroes.
