NEW UPDATE: BEST SPECS TIER LIST | WoW Shadowlands 9.0.5 [Patch Day Predictions]

Let us now look at how the recent patch notes will be impacting the PvP meta and which classes will move up and down based on these changes.

Melee Tier List

  • Unranked

Outlaw Rogues will receive many legendary buffs, but none of them come close to bringing the spec into relevance.

Fury Warriors will only have a few changes to its legendaries, but it still does not affect PvP. However, what is interesting is the upcoming 9.1 PvP talent refresh. Fury can be a great candidate to have some changes after making it popular in rated PvP, mainly because of the immortal strike effect.

  • C Tier

Unholy Death Knight remains the only melee in this tier. Though it recently moved up because of a minor necrotic strike buff, since it only received a pve bug fix and an irrelevant legendary buff, we just expect the same in patch 9.0.5.

  • B Tier

Assassination Rogues will be staying in this Tier even though it has some minor buffs. Though it can be a contender because of its newly redesigned Venthyr ability Flagellation, this change in conjunction with the lashing scars conduit can make Rogues a contender as a top melee class.

Demon Hunters is also part of this tier. The legendary changes that they’re receiving aren’t meaningful when it comes to PvP. Though the unbound chaos has a positive impact, it is still not enough to move them up a Tier.

  • A Tier

Feral Druids are only getting few changes putting them in the A Tier.

Survival Hunters will have a buff to their best dps legendary Latin poison injectors, but it’s not enough to put them into the S Tier.

Frost Death Knights haven’t changed a bit. That is why it will be staying in the A Tier.

Windwalker Monks are transferred to this Tier even if it is good on the ladder and have seen success in the awc tournaments.

  • S Tier

Arms Warriors remain at the top of this list. Also, a part of this has the battle lord buff, which can become its legendary choice. This rework can boost an arms warrior’s high sustained damage, especially when paired with a mortal combo conduit.

Retribution Paladins remains in the S Tier in 9.0.5. The most significant change that you will see is a needed nerf to the ringing clarity conduit.

Enhancement Shamans also remain in the S Tier because their strengths remain the same as the last patch.

Subtlety Rogues became part of this Tier because of the Venthyr rework.

Ranged Tier List

  •  Unranked

Arcane Mages only received minor bug fixes on a PvP talent legendary buff, but even if it changed, it wasn’t significant enough to have any bearing on how it would perform in PvP.

Demonology Warlock was given some damage and legendary buffs though these are not enough to bring it to relevancy.

  • B Tier

Destruction Warlock remains at this Tier even though it has a few warlock buffs because there are no significant improvements to the way it deals damage.

Beast Mastery became part of this Tier list because of some changes in the previous patch cycle. Though patch 9.0.5 isn’t that good for beast mastery because it only gave it  is a talent and a few legendary buffs that will not impact their performance in PvP

  • A Tier

Frost mages are the only major change that cost them to move up. This is because of the buff to ice form and the fix to icy propulsion conduit.

Affliction Warlock can be a strong contender to move to a higher Tier. It is because it is receiving a buff called a demon armor buff.

Marksmanship Hunter remains in the A Tier because it only has a few buffs, and since there is a lack in some other changes, that simply means there is no way Marksmanship hunters will be on the S Tier.

  • S Tier

Fire mages remain to have an incredible spec with insane burst  potential and control as a caster. There is also a buff in a Venthyr Covenant ability. It isn’t enough t make mages switch back to Venthyr as Night Fae will stay the best Covenant.

Shadow Priest will also receive many legendary changes, which is irrelevant in PvP., and there are no significant buffs or tiers that keep it safe in the S Tier.

Like the shadow priest, the Balanced Druid is not receiving any changes. That is why it’s not moving from the S Tier.

Elemental Shamans will also stay in our S Tier despite only receiving a few changes.

Healer Tier List

  • B Tier
WoW Shadowlands Guide: How to heal as a Mistweaver Monk | Global Esport News

Mistweaver Monks moved up into the B tier from C because its mana has significantly improved, one of its most significant weaknesses.

  • A Tier

Holy Paladins will be dropping from S Tier to A Tier. Throughout 9.0, Holy Paladins received several nerfs to their mana as the spec was consistently outperforming other healers in almost every aspect of PvP.  In 9.0.5, it will continue nerfing paladins, which can be enough to bring them in line with other healers.

Restoration Shaman will not have any notable changes for 9.0.5 other than the lava burst nerf, which will slightly reduce its offensive presence but will not bring any changes to the way it’s played.

Discipline Priest will only receive legendary buffs, which will not affect PvP. That is why they will stay on this Tier.

Holy Priest becomes part of this Tier because the player has discovered that it is good and not because it received a couple of buffs for this patch.

Restoration Druids became part of the A Tier because its buffs are enough to bring them on the top of the A-Tier, and soon, they might become part of the S Tier depending on how the meta evolves and if the game slows down.
